My First English Experience
Hello! My name is [Your Name]. Today, I want to share my very first experience with the English language. It was an exciting journey for me because learning something new always feels like stepping into a whole new world.
When I first started studying English, everything seemed so unfamiliar. The alphabet looked strange, and the words were hard to pronounce. For example, when I tried saying "hello," it took me several attempts before I got the pronunciation right. But as time went by, I began to realize that learning English could be fun if I approached it with curiosity and patience.
One of the most memorable moments during this period was when I learned how to introduce myself in English. At school, our teacher asked us to stand up one by one and say a few sentences about who we were. When it was my turn, I felt nervous but also eager. With shaky hands, I said, “Hi, my name is [Your Name]. I am ten years old, and I love reading books.” To my surprise, everyone clapped after I finished speaking! That small moment gave me confidence and made me feel proud of myself.
Another big part of learning English involved memorizing vocabulary. At first, it felt overwhelming because there were so many words to remember. However, I discovered that using flashcards helped a lot. By writing down each word on a card and practicing every day, I gradually built up my word bank. Now, whenever I encounter a new word while reading or watching videos, I can often guess its meaning based on what I’ve already learned.
Of course, practice makes perfect. Besides studying at school, I also watched English cartoons and listened to songs in English. These activities not only improved my listening skills but also made me enjoy the process more. Over time, I found myself thinking in English—not just translating from my native language—and that’s when I knew I was truly starting to master the language.
Learning English has opened doors for me. It allows me to communicate with people from different countries and explore their cultures. Although it takes effort and dedication, I believe that the rewards are worth it. After all, being able to express yourself in another language is incredibly empowering!
In conclusion, my first experience with English taught me resilience, curiosity, and the importance of perseverance. Whether you’re just beginning your own journey or have been studying for years, never forget that every step counts. Keep going, and soon enough, you’ll find yourself speaking confidently in English too!
